Hi,
We have a problem with PDF SCAM emails. The attacker sent a PDF file which contains a scanned letter (image) instead of text. Is it possible to enable OCR functionality to convert image to text and than we are able to use our blacklist dictionary?
Hi Thumbb
I didn't deal with such case before, but have you tried to enable Image spam (Aggressive) and Scan PDF attachment in your inbound AS profile?
Hi, AEK,
thank you for the hint. I've enabled the Image spam (Aggressive) but it generates a lot of false positives.
Something similar happened to me the other day. I guess there’s no real solution other than being careful.
PDFGear can't do this yet, hopefully soon! I've been using NAPS2 as a workaround for now. It will add an OCR layer to your PDF to make it searchable. It will not however, make the OCR text editable.
