I installed the FortiGate VM and im experiencing issues when logging in for the first time. After entering the username=admin and then entering the password. The FortiGate prompt for the password to be changed. It prompts for a new password and then just after entering the password the Prompt doesn't go to Confirm Password it instead skips and prompts for a new password again. The system does not allow me to confirm the password.
Any idea?

First time I see Fortigate FORCES you to change the password, other devices Fortimanager, Fortiweb etc do but Fortigate ... Also VM on AWS makes you change.
What version of the VM image are you using?

I started a FGT-KVM of V6.4.4. It was started on EVE-NG. It looked normal.
Where did you start it? Have you tried FOS-KVM-6.4.7(FGT_VM64_KVM-v6-build1911-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip )?

HI
Thanks for the feedback This was my first time using the below images on eve-ng and both gave the same error
FGT-KVM of V6.4.4.
FGT-KVM of V6.2.3
Which version have you attached ?
According to the operation of this document, there seems to be no problem with my EVE-NG:

Hi guys,
Use the HTML console instead of the native console when logging into EVE. looks like FortiVM doesn't like the telnet window. This was driving me insane as well. as soon as I changed to HTML it worked..
What killV00 said worked for me
Starting EVE with html5 console I had no problem
Thanks a lot
Regards
Thanks a lot !! works for me
