FortiGate 7.4.8 - FortiSwitch Ports, view is screwed

Since upgrading FortiGate to 7.4.8, the "FortiSwitch Ports" section is totally screwed.

It sorts the switches based on god knows what and if there are a lot of switches, it lags out when using the search field.

Also, it is no longer possible to edit the description of multiple ports at once.

Is anybody else experiencing these issues and is there anyway of reporting this to the devs, so that the old view is restored (since this worked with 7.4.7 and downwards)?

Hi @jfridolf-iver

Could you please share a picture or video of your issue? May I use your configuration to test it in my lab? If possible, please send it to my official email: bhoang@fortinet.com.

Additionally, if you already have a support ticket with Fortinet, please share the ticket number as well. I'm Bill from Fortinet. Thank you!

Bill

@jfridolf-iver  can you please share the screenshots for our better understanding of the inconvenience you are facing ?

Here is one of our Fortigate v7.4.9 Fortiswitch-Port pages. This used to be sorted alphabetically. Not sure now what it's sorted by as the serial numbers aren't in order, nor model numbers, nor topology path, nor IP address.

It looks like sorted per device, if you prefer to rearrange the port listed, try the screenshot I have attached, I don't have any FortiSwitch connecting to FortiGate, this is just an example

Also try to see whether you can add an extra column that contains the 'name' of ports

I can sort by Name in the 'Managed Fortiswitches' tab, but that doesnt help me in the 'Fortiswitch Ports' tab. No sort ability there. and Name isn't an option in that tab. Its definitely not sorting by device serial number.

Any other options? Anything in CLI that might help to rearrange them manually? I'm probably at an advantage because my naming convention helps with that, but not everyone's may create the sort order they want. It was sorted correctly prior to my upgrade.

hi all,

It's a customer based installation, so I cannot provide any screenshots - but the issue is as @Abacustech has provided.

I recently upgraded them to 7.4.9 - and the problem persists as well as stated by others.

@yderek : unfortunately your tip is a good try, but the columns are not available on the FortiSwitch Ports view as they are on the FortiAP
