FortiGate 30D Dynamic Routing Support

Hello,

Does the 30D actually support dynamic routing like OSPF and RIP?

I need to be sure since I do not see any options either in CLI or in GUI for this but I have read the following:

http://www.fortinet.com/sites/default/files/productdatasheets/FortiGate-30D.pdf

where it is clearly stated that dynamic routing is supported only in CLI.

Do I have to enable the dynamic routing feature somewhere or I am missing something else (e.g. upgrade to 5.2 for example)?

Thank you!

Regards

Hi,

the relevant docs are the "Feature-Platform-Matrix" for v5.0 and v5.2. In the v5.0 doc it states that dynamic routing is supported but only Policy Based Routing (so no routing protocols). In the v5.2 edition, it only states that dyn. routing is enabled. To verify this, I checked the "What's New" documents for v5.2.0, v5.2.1 and v5.2.2 and nothing is mentioned there.

So, I would conclude that still in v5.2.x only PBR is possible.

Maybe switching the [strike]crippled[/strike] simplified WebGUI to the normal one will show you more:

config system global
   set gui-lite disable
end
