FortiGate 101F, currently version v7.0.17. Have any stable or recommend version to upgrade and why?

Hi Fortinet People, I've just seen the latest version, v7.0.18. Do I need to upgrade to v7.0.18M, 7.4.8M, or another version like v7.2.12M? Please advise for long-time use and stability.

Currently the recommended version is 7.4.8.

7.0.x and 7.2.x are both EoES, i.e. only critical vulnerabilities are still fixes.

When it is recommended it should be the best choice.

But when my prod is critical then I personally prefer wait a moment before upgrading to the recommended version.

The problem with 7.0.x is that its EoS is reached (25-09-30). That means Fortinet is under no obligation to provide support services. So at this moment you need at least to be at 7.2.x. Otherwise one day when you open a ticket Fortinet may ask you to upgrade so it can support you.
