FortiFone time synchronize issue with FVE VM-100

i have FVE VM-100 with version 7.0.2 and FortiFone 380 on version 7.0.0.110 the time in fortifone is not same as FVE VM-100 and try to change the time zone to be as FVE and reboot it with the same issue , also tried to upgrade it to Version 7.0.2 with the same issue it cannot synchronize with FVE time.

can any one help?

It seems like the FortiFone is not synchronizing its time with the FortiVoice Enterprise (FVE) VM-100. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

  1. Check NTP Configuration:
    - Ensure that the FortiFone is configured to use Network Time Protocol (NTP) for time synchronization.
    - Go to the Network Time Configuration page on the FortiFone and verify the SNTP server address. Use a known public NTP server like `pool.ntp.org` or `time.nrc.ca`.

  2. Verify Time Zone Settings: Double-check that the time zone settings on both the FortiFone and the FVE VM-100 are correctly configured to match your region.

  3. Enable DST if Applicable: If your region observes Daylight Savings Time (DST), ensure that DST is enabled and properly configured on the FortiFone.

  4. Manual Time Configuration: If NTP is not working, try setting the time manually on the FortiFone. Go to Setting > Preference > Date & Time and select Manual mode. Enter the correct time and date.

  5. Firmware Update: Ensure that both the FortiFone and the FVE VM-100 are running the latest firmware versions. You mentioned upgrading the FortiFone, but ensure the FVE VM-100 is also up to date.

  6. Network Connectivity: Verify that the FortiFone has proper network connectivity and can reach the NTP server. Check for any firewall rules that might be blocking NTP traffic.

  7. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Fortinet Customer Service & Support for further assistance.
