We have a FortiGate + FortiAuthenticator(bought and registered through a Fortigat partner). We are using the free forticlient vpn, but because it is not getting updates we are looking at fortiems.
I downloaded the installer and installed it on Ubuntu. On opening EMS I get a hardware ID which I need to connect to FortiCloud and get the 3 free trial licenses. But I don't see any possibility on FortiCloud to do this.
Please point me to the right place to do this.

maybe these will help
That would work if you were getting to the login.
All I see is this:

just try Go to FortiCloud, insert your account for support portal credentials and this will theoretically assign you a trial license for 3 devices.
in the My Assets tab you should see/get a FCTEMSxxxx product and selecting it and then pencil next to PRODUCT INFORMATION should be where you add/modify this HW ID if needed, then download the key and upload the file in EMS.
nothing there:
have you clicked in the WebUI where the Hardware ID is diaply in the left corner > Go to FortiCloud ? or have you gone directly to the support portal w/o following the steps to login that follows the click ?
Both. And both of them gave me no trial license. I also downloaded the forticlient ems again and registered it again with my email address hoping this would fix things, but nothing
try reaching out to TAC if you cant get a free/trial license or a local account manager to help out.
Well I did that and they send me to here........
