FortiEMS integration with AD and FortiGate

I have FortiEMS which integrated with AD to retrieve users and group

FortiEMS integrated with FortiGate through fabric

issue : it's possible that FortiGate can retrieve groups from AD through EMS to use it in security policies on FortiGate? 

note : I can't integrate FortiGate with AD due to my company security rules .

anyone have a solution for this issue

Kindly review the below article that includes details about this, here you would be pulling it from EMS but on the EMS side it is connected via LDAP
