Dear Forti Team,
dear community,
is a reseller (here: Matrix42) able to provide its clients a real serial number of the FortiEDR licence they use?
In detail, the reseller stopped selling the FortiEDR service which is still used by us.
We're using a reseller-primed URL to get into the Management Console.
Unfortunately the service will end december 31th which took us by suprise as the reseller claims to have informed us - but just didn't.
So in the need of finding a new reseller we were asked to provide a serial number of the FortiEDR but since the old reseller can only provide something like FEDR000000000123 (and 123 stands for the only three "individual" numbers) we are a bit lost.
Does that look like a real serial number? And if not can we advise the old reseller were to look in his own management console?
Best regards
Rico

I found an answer:
Yes, a reseller can provide clients with the real serial number of the FortiEDR license they use. The serial number is essential for identifying the product and managing licenses. It is typically visible in the FortiEDR Console under the Licensing page.
