FortiDDoS Performance

Anyone have any info/experience with the FortiDDoS appliances? I am looking at the datasheet for the 200B and while it says that Throughput is 4 Gbps it then lists Bidirectional Packet Throughput as well as SYN Flood Mitigation as 3.5 Mbps which seems extremely low.

What am I missing here?

That metric is Mpps (Millions of packets per second) not Mbps (Megabits per second). The metric is for the amount of packets it can process, not the throughput (which is 4Gbps).

If you're looking at the DDOS you should look at the 200F instead of 200B which is the newest hardware. https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/data-sheets/fortiddos.pdf
