FortiClient work over USB wireless adapter?

<pulling my hair out> Forticlient was working just fine connected via ethernet cable. Then the client moved the PC and now needs a wireless connection to his internet router. I tried a Linksys USB wireless adapter and FortiClient caused the connection to crash. I uninstalled both Linksys software & Forticlient and switched to a newer NetGear USB wireless adapter. FortiClient does not crash the internet connection, however, it doesn' t work either. It will fail to pick up a DHCP address. If I uncheck " acquire ip address" then negotiation says it' s successful, but no data will traverse the tunnel. Help please? thanks, Roger.

Have you tried the latest version of the forticlient?
