FortiClient with virtual machine

Hello to everyone, I have an apple laptop and I installed a windows xp virtual machine with vmware fusion. The network is in bridge configuration. After I configured the VPN connection I started it but it didn' t work. question: I tryed to install the client on a pc with os windows but not virtualized and with the same configuration it works... WHY?
