After Update of OS to 5.4.1 the Fotigate(800C) won't register forticlients anymore. Error message from Forticlient: Forticlient is actively blocking this forticlient form registering. Endpoint Event: FortiClient registration failed due to version too low. VPN provision seams also to be lost from endpoint controll as wel. This is an very bad issue regarded to the fact that our company has lost endpoint control of several hundred client's.

In the Release Notes for FG firmware v5.4.1, it is stated that only FortiClient v5.4.1 is supported. FC v5.4.0 is just unsupported.
Have the same problem here, forticlient version from website and gate on 5.4.1 give version too low error.
From what I hear a 5.4.1 client should be coming out. The client version you have right now is 5.4.0 (if you got it off the website) so more than likely have to wait for that to come out.

Too bad the error message from the 5.4.0 client is cryptic and doesn't simply display that the client needs to be updated. What a waste of time trying to figure out the generic error message.
FGT-60E; FGT-90D; FGT-100E; FGT-600D; FGT-1000D; FGT-3000D; FGT-VM on Azure
FAZ-3000D; FWB-VM on Azure; FAZ on Azure; FAC-VM
Agree 100%. OTOH, the error message on the FGT is unambiguous: "version too low".
FCT 5.4.1 shall be available from support site now.
My systems got notifications earlier this week that FortiClient 5.4.1 was out.
