FortiClient on a Ubuntu server, without X

Hello, we are currently testing FortiClient on several of our workstations and servers.  When I attempted to install it on a Ubuntu server (16.04 LTS), from the Fortinet repository, it attempted to install X along with it.  I then tried downloading the .deb file directly from the Fortinet site, but it is telling me that I am missing the linappindicator1 and libgconf2-4 dependencies.  These, of course, are for a system with X. Can FortiClient be installed, and run correctly, without X?  The FortiClient site specifies that it protects both Linux desktops and servers, but I can't imagine that many Linux servers even have X. Thanks in advance,

Eric
