FortiClient - no internet when connected - MacOs

I'm using FortiClient 7.0.8.0308 on Mac. When I connect FortiClient, I have no access to internet. This is probably a DNS error, but I don't know how to fix it.

The simplest way to check if it is a DNS issue or not is by issuing a ping as below from the client machine.

ping 8.8.8.8 ---> This expected to work if its a DNS issue

ping www.google.com ---> lets see if the name gets resolved , if not its a DNS issue.

Yes, it is a DNS issue.

ping 8.8.8.8 works

ping www.google.com does not show anything

How to set correct DNS in FortiClient?

Hi dust,

You can modify DNS from your Mac's end, at your nic's interface. Or in the Fortigate's SSL - VPN Settings, change on Tunnel Mode Client Settings the DNS Server to Specify (example: 8.8.8.8).
