FortiClient install error

We are in the deployment phase, where one PC returned the following error message: " FortiClient Installer Information: Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL rquired for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I have used the same installation package for all users, before and after this incident, with no other failures. The users PC configuration: Dell OPTIPLEX GX240, 1.8Ghz 512Mb RAM Win2k, SP4 We have several other users with the same hardware configuration, and had no problems with the installs. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this problem, or should I roll out a new PC? Comments and suggestions are welcome. Jerry Drager

Windows Installer version 3.0 is missing from the client pc. Download it from microsoft site.

Windows installer 3.0 or better is required to install FortiClient. If you still have the issue, please post your c:\Windows\fcinstalllog.txt. It contains the detailed information on where it fails.
