FortiClient connection ports

When configuring FortiClient using a custom XML file uploaded to our FortiGate, the FortiClient XML reference guide seems to reference ports that are not referenced in the FortiGate admin guide.  

The <addresses> tag description on page 25 of the reference guide states "This list must have at least one FortiGate IP:port pair".  The guide also shows and example on page 26 where different ports are used (9090 and 8002).  It's unclear to me when building these files what the port should be in a default FortiGate configuration.

For the sake of this question, all FortiGate and FortiClients involved are the latest version (5.2.1)

Default FortiGate endpoint registration port is 8010.
