FortiClient causing slow load times for web pages

Hello - I have FC v 3.0.599 (MR7) installed on about 40 workstations. We have a FortiMgr 100 (MR7) for managing these FC' s. I' ve noticed that since FC has been up and running that nearly everyone has experienced a change in web-page load times. Some pages are taking nearly 5 minutes to load. I can' t seem to pinpoint why this is going on - I do know that if I encounter a web page that is taking forever to load, I can shutdown FC and then re-visit the same web-page and it loads instantly. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I' m missing in the configurations of the FC' s that will improve this? Edit: I should also mention that the types of web-pages that seem to be problematic have some sort of submittable form. ex - It takes five minutes to update a web ticket on the FortiNet support site after you click the ' submit' button.

I see on the Firmware images homepage that FortiClient Patch 3 Build 606 was released on Oct 30th, 2008 - but when you go to the FTP site to download, the latest version available is Patch 2, build 603. I believe I am looking in the right spot - correct me if I am wrong? Thanks for the info - any knowledge of a release date for patch 4?

It' s there. If you' re using a browser based FTP client, refresh the page, or clear your cache.

Finally got an official interim build. Installed build 3.0.608 on two PCs. It makes a huge difference for web browsing. Before, some pages loaded forever. Now every web site I tried loaded lightning fast. It' s not an released build. So still has " Interim Build" banner. For you convenience, I uploaded it to rapidshare. You can download it with this link. http://rapidshare.com/files/161093197/FortiClientSetup_3.0.608.exe.html After downloading, please try to verify the digital signature. You can right click on the file and click on " Properties..." . If there is a " digital signature" tab, you should be able to see the signer is " Fortinet Technologies" . If it' s not signed, delete it immediately. Please give your feedback if you get some chance to try it.

AFAIK, MR7 patch-4 may come out in a week or two. Hopefully by the end of this month.

Vanc - the interim build 3.0.608 seems to have fixed the afore-mentioned slow load times. I haven' t encountered anything out of the ordinary with any sites on the machines running this interim build. Thanks for posting the link to it - Any word on when it will be released as an official build?

From the emails I received so far, build 3.0.613 will be released to public today or tomorrow. Stay tuned.
