FortiClient VPN new install with Mac OS 15.3
We can install any version of FortiClient VPN on brand new Macbook (15.3 Sequoia).
Problem lies in the new MAC security layer in the OS. Creating a connection then clicking on Connect produces an error: "To connect to the VPN with FortiClient, open Security & Privacy Settings and allow the system software from FortiTray".
Problem is that option is NO longer available is the new Mac OS versions.
Called Apple to confirm this is a issue, and they report the section of the security applet has been removed and will not come back.
See screenshot.

Will there be a newer build to accommodate for this new Security Change is MAC OS?
The version shown here is the latest 7.4.2.1717
Thanks!

Hi, the mentioned solution is not working for me. I have macOS Sequia 15.3 and Forticlient 7.4.2.
I have Cisco VPN as well for a different company on my laptop as well. When I try to connect to Forticlient vpn it gives this error:
There is no notification to allow anything and nothin shows Forticlient needing an approval:
Inside General - Login Items and Extensions - Network Extensions. You can see I have no FortiTray.app what I can enable. I used Forticlient dmg (7.4) provided by official source and also our local IT provided an older dmg (7.2) to try. No luck with any of those.
Please suggest a solution as I am fully blocked from working within our network.
Regards,
Mark

can you check from terminal, systemextensionsctl list | grep fortinet . if it returns anything ?
e.g. * * AH4XFXJ7DK com.fortinet.forticlient.macos.vpn.nwextension (7.4.1/1716) vpnprovider [activated enabled]
also, check in Privacy & Security > Full disk access if FortiClient is enabled, also fctservctl2 .
see, https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.4.0/macos-release-notes/223986/special-notices ,Enabling full disk access

systemextensionsctl list | grep fortinet returns nothing unfortunately. It is an empty response.
Privacy & Security > Full disk access has fctservctl2 enabled. Interestingly after reboot Forticlient immediately throws an error notification that "...vpn was failed"

try uninstalling it, https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-uninstall-FortiClient-on-macOS/ta-p...
reboot the laptop and try installing it again.

Thank you for your reply. Done that a few times before posting my issue here. Installed and uninstalled different versions to test. Same error.
