Tried with Microsoft App store FortiClient & configured with Windows native VPN & got error "ProSSLVPN Error: code=-30008000(v1.0.1041)".

Hi,
To address the installation failure of FortiClient 7.4.1 on the latest Microsoft Surface Pro with a Snapdragon processor, and the error "prosslvpn error: code=-30008000(v1.0.1041)" when using the Microsoft App Store FortiClient, you can try the following steps:
1. Ensure that the FortiClient version is compatible with the Snapdragon processor and the specific Windows version on your Microsoft Surface Pro.
2. Check for any system compatibility issues or conflicts that may be causing the installation failure.
3. Verify if there are any specific requirements or settings needed for FortiClient to work correctly on devices with Snapdragon processors.
4. Contact Fortinet Customer Support for further assistance and troubleshooting tailored to your specific setup and error messages.
By following these steps and reaching out to Fortinet Customer Support, you can receive expert guidance to resolve the installation and VPN configuration issues on your Microsoft Surface Pro effectively.
The installation failure might be due to compatibility issues with the Snapdragon processor or missing prerequisites. Try the following:
Run as Administrator: Right-click on the FortiClient installer and choose Run as administrator to ensure it has the proper permissions to install.
Check System Requirements: Verify that the FortiClient version you're using is compatible with ARM-based processors (like the Snapdragon). If not, check for a specific ARM version of FortiClient or consider upgrading to the latest version.
Windows Native VPN Error (-30008000): This error typically occurs when there’s a configuration issue with the VPN profile. Here’s what you can do:
Reconfigure the VPN: Make sure your VPN settings are correctly configured in the FortiClient. Double-check the VPN type, server address, and authentication settings.
Check for OS Compatibility: Sometimes, the native Windows VPN client on ARM-based devices (Snapdragon) can have issues with certain VPN configurations. Ensure that you’re using the correct VPN settings (such as SSL VPN or IPsec) that match the FortiGate configuration.
App Store Version: If you installed FortiClient from the Microsoft Store, try uninstalling it and reinstalling the version directly from the Fortinet website. The app store version might have limitations or bugs not present in the direct download.
Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that both your Surface Pro and FortiClient are fully updated, as firmware or software updates can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
Hello Murali_S_L,
If you plan on using the FortiClient from the Microsoft App store again you can follow this article: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiClient/Technical-Tip-FortiClient-Support-for-ARM-Architecture...
However, the Windows Native VPN won't support SSLVPN so you will need to configure dialup IPsec VPN: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-establish-VPN-connection-between-Wi...
