FortiClient VPN Linux, a max Time to live (TTL),

Hi there,

I am using an Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, from:    forticlient_vpn_7.0.7.0246_amd64.deb

I am using the CLI to establish VPN connection, e.g:

/opt/forticlient/vpn -s office.my-example.com:port_goes_here -u myUserName -p

My connection dies after 8 hours, I wrote a Java SpringBoot app, that PINGs a server inside the network every 90 secs to keep the connection alive as much as possible.

Can I do something on the client side to keep the connection alive, or it must be setup on the VPN server side, and if so, any max TTL ? perhaps 24 hours or so.

I'd appreciate any intel.
