I have seen a few posts with the same title but nobody seems to have found a solution yet. Has anyone found a working solution to the issue where FortiClient will connect to VPN then immediately disconnect? We are using FortiClient with EMS, and if the user has auto retry checked it will repeatedly try to reconnect and fail. Sometimes I can force it to start working again by shutting down the Forticlient app and restarting the computer but I can't find any useful information in logs or debug info. FG is on 7.4.2, FC client is 7.2.3, and EMS 7.2.2 (which I plan to update to 7.2.4 sometime this week). If you have any solutions I appreciate it!
Hello Team,
I this happening to all user or a specific user.
Can you update the FortiClient and confirm if the behavior is same
Hello, I'm not sure if someone can do it first.
I can do it this way:
Reinstall using FortiClient VPN version 7.4.0.1658
I have to configure it with my IP and port, enter the user who will use the connection.
Executing the connection as Administrator, by logging in
requests the password, approximately 40% progress in the connection, this is the moment that Fortigate sends the certificate; This must be installed but not only accepted, but it is good to install within the default storage for certificates, but for the PC and for the current user.
This way I can connect, after trying it once.
Now, everything is fine.
IPsec VPN over UDP should be similar to DTLS so strange if one has issues and the other does not.

Have seen many times interuptions but I think as SAML involved the "remoteauthtimeout" could be the workaround.
