FortiClient SSL VPN

Hello, I’m using FortiClient SSL VPN. The connection process is always aborted at 45% with an error message „Your PC does not meet the host checking requirements set by the firewall. Please check that your OS version or antivirus and firewall applications are installed and running properly." I checked both - the antivirus and the firewall are running and updated. Both are set to automaticaly download and install updates. The only AV and FW I’m using is the FortiClient version 4.2.0.250, my OS is W7 Enterprise 32bit. I tried to use other FortiClient versions but the error message is still the same. Do you please have any advice? Thank you very much.

You need to verify the host check settings specified for the SSL VPN on the FortiGate to ensure the client OS, AV and FW meet the checking requirements.

I too get this message occasionally and to my knowledge I have not activated any host checking. I had " detect and identify" checked under network interface, but have since unchecked. Where else to I need to look? Thanks Rich Mayer

We checked that already. The issue is only at one of our notebooks. Rest of the is working perfectly. The FortiClient setting and the OS are the same at all of the notebooks. Notebooks are complete identical. What do I have to do with it? Thanks for the advice.

@rsmayer: if hostcheck is not even enabled , then we shouldn' t see the warning at all. @Brucem: if it is enabled, then it might be some issue with that particular PC, it might be permission issue. Is it possible to have your FGT config that is related to the sslvpn portal part? which version of FOS you are using? LC
