FortiClient MAC
I am a noob in this matter of VPN stuff and i am trying to set up the FortiClient VPN on my MacOS and it says the connection is stabilished but I can't access the server. Basically when its connected it give me empty IP Address. Is this normal? Am I only connecting to the local host even tho i add the Gateway?
I do exactly the same on my windows and it works perfectly.
Can somebody help?

Hi @harta5 ,
Could you please confirm which type of VPN did you configured on FortiGate.
Like - SSLVPN or IPsec Dialup VPN FortiClient
Ideally, You should get an IP address once FortiClient is connected. Can you share screenshot ?
And can you verify Virtual/Ethernet Network adapter settings once?
Thanks,

Hello @harta5
As I understand that post establishing the VPN Forticlient connection on Mac OS, you are unable to access the server and you are not getting IP address, when connected to Forticlient.
Could you please confirm the Fortigate, Forticlient, and Mac OS versions?
Also,
Please enable debug level logging on Fortilcient upon connection attempts and send us the output.
On Forticlient --> settings --> Logging --> Log level --> debug , kindly export as txt file and attach.
Secondly,
Have the debugs running already and connect vpn from the user laptop.
diag debug reset
diag debug console time enable
diag debug app sslvpn -1
diag debug app fnbamd -1
diag debug enable
After connected and once we have all the output, Please disable the debugs
dia deb disable
dia deb reset
Thanks,
Shaleni
