Hello,
We've been integrating FortiClient in our application for years through the use of FortiSSLVPNclient.exe (see knowledgebase article here: https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD41256) but we also know that this executable has been deprecated for a long time.
We would like to know, is there an alternative CLI with the same featureset that works for recent versions of FortiClient? As far as I can tell and from what our mutual clients told us, there doesn't seem to be a CLI that has the same functionality as FortiSSLVPNclient.exe.
Best regards.

I know this is an old post, but still relevant it seems, so I'm gonna necro this post...
The problem seems to be: this "CLI" VPN client isn't the client. It's just a means to start the connection from the commandline.
That means, you still need to install the full VPN-Client beforehand...
As of now, I have no idea how to connect without installing anything...
