Good morning, we purchased 2 FortiGateVM-2 licenses
On the first machine we purchased the FortiCare / FortiGuard subscription while on the second one we did not.
When we put the two VMs in active/passive HA we lose the FortiCare subscription also on VM1
Why?

Hi @danny1989,
In HA setup, you need valid license on both units. Please refer to https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-The-HA-Cluster-requirements/ta-p/325375
Regards,
Hi @danny1989 ,
When you access the GUI, it is showing VM1, but it is actually for the HA cluster since VM1 is the primary, I assume.
For the HA cluster, both HA cluster members should have valid licenses. If one has no valid licenses or the licenses, say on VM2, are older than the ones on VM1, the FGT GUI will show the invalid license info or the older info.
