FortiAuthenticator HA Cluster

Guys could you pls help me out. Will L2 HA Cluster work if 2 FortiAuthenticators deployed in a different hypervisors, for example if one of it on Hyper-v and another on VMware ESXi? I couldn't find any answers online.

Ideally this should work as the FortiAuthenticator will only check the peer device/fortiauthenticator license /config etc, not the hypervisor.

Please make sure the CPU/Memory/Interfaces/Licenses match between both nodes and they can communicate with each other efficiently.

In addition to the above, ensure that you have layer2 connectivity between the nodes; FortiAuthenticator active-passive clustering includes some Ethernet broadcasts.
