FortiAuthenticator Cloud

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question regarding FortiAuthenticator Cloud.
Does it support two-factor authentication (2FA) integration for NoMachine Client software (Enterprise license)?

If so, could you please share any configuration guidelines or compatibility notes for setting this up?

Thanks in advance!

Hello User13,

I found this solution. Can you tell us if it helps, please?

FortiAuthenticator Cloud does support two-factor authentication (2FA) integration, which can enhance the security of your NoMachine Client software. To set this up, you'll typically need to configure the FortiAuthenticator to work with the authentication methods supported by NoMachine.

Here are some general steps and considerations for configuring 2FA with NoMachine:

  1. Check Compatibility: Ensure that the version of NoMachine you are using supports integration with external authentication services.

  2. Configure FortiAuthenticator:

    • Log into your FortiAuthenticator account.
    • Navigate to the 2FA settings and enable the desired authentication methods (e.g., SMS, email, or authenticator apps).
    • Set up users and assign them to the appropriate authentication methods.

  3. Integrate with NoMachine:

    • In NoMachine, you may need to configure the authentication settings to point to FortiAuthenticator.
    • This may involve specifying the FortiAuthenticator server details and the authentication method.

  4. Testing: After configuration, test the setup with a user account to ensure that the 2FA prompt appears as expected when accessing NoMachine.

  5. Documentation: For specific configuration guidelines and compatibility notes, refer to the official documentation of both FortiAuthenticator and NoMachine, as they will provide the most accurate and detailed instructions.

If you require more detailed guidance or specific settings, I recommend consulting the official support resources or forums for both FortiAuthenticator and NoMachine, as they may have specific integration guides available.
