FortiAnalyzer unable add E series Product

Hi all,

Thanks for you help on the question.

We have a FortiAnalyzer 1000C Version 5.2.7. Currently we have add new E series firewall but we are unable select E series firewall from FortiAnalyzer dropdown.

May I check izzit because of the firmware issues ? If yes, any suggested stable firmware version and any upgrade path need to follow for the Analyzer because under that firewall will required follow the upgrade path.

Thanks again.

Hello,

that's correct.

Upgrade your FAZ 1000C to the latest supported firmware (5.4 patch7) (Please respect upgrade procedure detailed in release notes)

Check this compatibility matrix

https://docs.fortinet.com...atibility-with-fortios

in order to verify which FGT you can log into.

As you can see it, the upper fortios version you can log is 5.4 patch 12.

So, in that scenario, that would be the limit for your fortigates.

Hi Abel,

Thanks so much for your explanation.

Apologies for another question is FAZ require follow any upgrade path ?

As I cant find any upgrade path for FAZ in support portal or I just need to download the firmware version that I want and upgrade it.

Indeed.

It's detailed in each release notes pdf file.

In your scenario, direct upgrade from 5.2.7 to 5.4.7 is supported.

See screenshot from https://docs.fortinet.com...er/5.4.7/release-notes

As you are jumping to an upper branch, remember that your DB will be reindexed. This is time consuming depending on your storage utilization and cpu/mem operation load, so, consider upgrading in low occupation hours, or weekend.

You could use cli command #diagnose sql status rebuild-db

to check status of that reindexation process.
