FortiAP registration in FortiCloud

Hello,

FortiAP can be registered in FortiCloud from Fortigate device, my question is what purpose is to register to Forticloud do I need this step, if my AP are managed by local Fortigate device?

Hi,

You can push the configuration or manage the  FortiAP via Forticloud account,if you have registered the AP to the Forticloud account. If you want to manage it  locally, you do not required to register with Forticloud account.
