FortiAP as WiFi Client

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to use a radio of a FortiAP as a WiFi client in order to connect to an existing wireless SSID.

I've read that it is possible with a FortiWiFi.

Not exactly. I don't want to connect to a Blackhaul WiFi of a FortiGate, I'd like to connect to and existing "external" WiFi network.

FortiAP doesn't have wireless-controller feature built-in. It doesn't operate by itself unlike FortiWiFi. It needs to connect to either FortiGate or FortiWifi that acts as wireless-controller.
