I have try to authorize a fortiap u421ev on a Fortigate 60D with 6.05 OS, and after I click on the authorize button the FGT tell me connecting and after that disconnected. The problem is that the FAP unit change the led color from blinking green in permanent white, and after this was happens the wan;t boot anymore, no IP in the network, nothing. I connected the console and he is booting in a strange mode. I did not found any specs about recovery. Please help with any idea. This is what is he doing when is booting after "reset" command.   u-boot> reset resetting ... Nothing yet. I am very disappointed about Fortinet at this point. They have no excuse for this strange issue.

Hello, I don't know if you still need help, but the same thing happened to me and if I'm not mistaken, your problem is that I am left in boot cycle mode, you should perform the following steps:

One option is downgrading the FortiAP to 0031 or flashing a .bin image on the FortiAP which is on Build84.

Flash image on FPA running Build84 if it is going through a continuous boot cycle:

Get a .bin image from Fortinet support for the specific FortiAP model.
Make the TFTP server ready for FortiAP.
Console access ready for FortiAP.
interrupted reboot loop, enter u-boot:Hit CTRL+c to abort u-boot in 3 secon 1 fap22b1!$

Under u-boot, perform below:
u-boot> dhcp

BOOTP broadcast 1

*** Unhandled DHCP Option in OFFER/ACK: 224

*** Unhandled DHCP Option in OFFER/ACK: 224

DHCP client bound to address 68.1.1.4

u-boot>

u-boot> setenv serverip 10.105.188.205 <<------------ tftp-server

u-boot> flash_ftnt_mft_img FAP_U421EV-v7-build0132-FORTINET.bin

u-boot> reset
