We plan to buy a number of newest FortiAP-321C WiFi access points to connect to different FortiGate units (all with FortiOS 5.2.2) deployed at our various locations. Unfortunately even with the latest FortiOS 5.2.2, FortiAP-321C is not available as a supported platform on a Fortigate's built-in WiFi Controller.
Does anyone know if we may specify FAP-320C platform (which seems to be close) to work with FAP-321C? Did anyone actually tried that?

The 321C should be present on 5.2.2, what Fortigate platform are you using? Also try the following at CLI:
#config wireless-controller wtp-profile
#edit 321C_AP
#config platform
#set type 321C
#end
#end
Currently running the older wireless controller version of the 5.0.8 firmware on a 200D -- I'm going to assume these new wireless controllers were finally merged into the mainstream 5.2.x firmware. A clean/factory config should show the 321C supported under the AP profile settings.
