FortiAP 221E status disconnected after Update Fortigate to 6.2.1

May be someone can give some debug command?

the only failure i can see is from this command:

diagnose wireless-controller wlac -c wtp

last failure : 12 -- AC daemon reset timer expired

The topology is very simple FortiOS > FrotiSwitch>FortiAP,

After update the fortigate to 6.2.1 it can authorize the fortiap but status stay disconnected.

thanks in advance.

The workaround until forti will fix is to add Access Point network to trusthost on the admin account.

For me the workaround is worked.

But better open support case to get online update directly form Forti Support.

I do have the exact same problem with 6.2.1 and the FAP14C. Firmware on the FAP14C is up to date.

Any advice would be awesome.

Any work arounds?

wanglei_FTNT

1) Can you post some basic configuration you used here

for example, WTP profile, VAPs

2) What's the version of software running on 221E? I

3) if you can ssh into AP, can you do

a) wcfg

FP221ETF18037964 # wcfg WTP Configuration name : FP221ETF18037964 loc : N/A <----check whether this field is N/A or has value

b) turn on some debugs with command don/ton . To turn it off, pls use doff/toff

If we couldn't tell from these commands, you might have to contact our support who can help collect more info from your setup

We are having the same problem on the 321c, we've been on with support for 5 hours now.. still no resolution.

great. I will let that system take care of your case. This forum is not meant to collect detailed trouble-shooting logs/customer sensitive info.  Also, if you have a ticket ID, I can follow up on the progress of that ticket.  Thx.

Any news?

I spent 8 hours with Fortinet Support trying to get this resolved, ended up working with a gentleman from SWAT|ETAC support, awesome guy to work with, we ended up putting in a work around, offloading the FortiAPs onto a spare 200E Firewall.
