Earlier this week I updated our Fortigates to 7.4.5, and now some of our 221E APs are not broadcasting. They're online, but the radios aren't working. This seems to have something to do with the region, but everything should be correct. We are in the US.
This is happening on 221E devices that are running the 7.4.3 firmware and the 7.2.2 (which I know needs to be updated).
I did a little more poking around and found that the affected APs are showing 0 VAP configs.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
Hi @tlitchfo, Have you tried to restart the AP once?
Also, confirm the AP version.
Have you checked whether the AP version is compatible with the FortiOS version?
Thank you.
Hi Maulish,
Thank you for responding.
Yes, I have tried restarting the APs that are affected but the issue persists. I have also updated the firmware to 7.4.3, which is the most current version I have access to and is compatible with FortiOS 7.4.5.
The other thing I tried was to create a new profile with the correct country code and push that to the AP, but that also did not help.
There are some other threads on the forum that are related. We are seeing the same 80211 WLAN ADD error.
Yesterday I spoke with support, and the problem definitely has to do with the radios in the device.
As of right now, their recommendation is to see if the 7.4.4 firmware resolves it.
Can you please provide the Ticket number to monitor the case?
Thank you.
It is ticket 10050198.
