Hello everyone, connected access points via a switch:
configured DHCP on FORTI
Access points received IP
E50 successfully pings access points and sees their MAC
SSID created
But when creating an AP profile, I get the status "not available". Whoever encountered a similar problem could not find a solution to the problem ? The article on advanced search does not help.
What configurations are done in the AP Profile 'fap-auto'? Have you tried with a default AP profile, do you get the same issue?
Hello, thank you for your answer, I used both custom and default settings, at the moment fap-auto is no different from the standard profile.
The most relevant part is from the first section that is not shown in this picture before the radio configurations, you can start with default configurations and reset the AP to factory.
Also check the firmware compatibility between FGT/FAP.
You can remove the additional DHCP options since they are not needed while the 'Security Fabric Connection' is enabled on that interface.
Is the 'Security Fabric Connection' enabled on the switch or on the F50-E?
Here is the data that I cut off, and the firmware of two access points, did I understand correctly that I should update them and check compatibility with my firewall?
and I reset the AP settings to factory settings
Security Fabric should be enabled in the interface of the FGT as shown below:
On the previous reply you can find the link with the matrix of the supported firmware, and as I see the FAP firmware is pretty old.
