Hi guys
Not sure if you guys got this before.
We are seeing Google Chrome Software_reporter_tool.exe as zero day. It's happening on multiple computers so it we think it might be false reporting anything we can do to check? or add exception to this file?
see below of the report.
Zero-day malware detected (last 6 hours) computername, Zero day, Detected at: 2019-08-12 07:33:42, c:\users\nfouggsere\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\swreporter\44.212.200.3\software_reporter_tool.exe computername, Zero day, Detected at: 2019-08-11 19:58:03, computername~1\appdata\local\temp\15308_1561596151\software_reporter_tool.exe computername, Zero day, Detected at: 2019-08-12 08:07:13, c:\users\phosfrvatis\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\swreporter\44.212.200\software_reporter_tool.exe computername, Zero day, Detected at: 2019-08-12 02:20:49, c:\users\dsasdsi\appdata\local\google\chrome\user data\swreporter\44.212.200\software_reporter_tool.exe
Same here.
I'm currently trying to prove this is a legit process with Chrome, and not malware.
If this is a nuisance to you, you could try disabling Software Reporter Tool
