Im currently on 7.0.7 - on newer versions there are some features that will be handy. Which firm ver do you use - stable one?
Hi @romank ,
I would advise you to upgrade to the latest firmware version of FortiWeb which is 7.4.1
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortiweb/7.4.1/release-notes
Im about to do so, but Fortinet learned me that its not safe to do so, thats why im asking ;)
We have 7.2.7 and 7.0.10 versions , if one of these versions have the features you are looking for then it would be better to go to these versions as they will have more bug fixes and stable in respective release chains (7.0 and 7.2).
Hello @romank,
As a general piece of advise, all the GA (general availability) releases are stable and can be deploy/upgrade in production, there might be some known issues or bug in all the releases. So a best practice is to thoroughly check the release notes, especially but not limited to Known issues, Special Notices, changes in GUI, default behaviour, default values, Product integration support, limitations etc ...
In addition to that if you have any other products integrated, then please also check the compatibility with them to avoid any unforeseen issues after an upgrade.
Moreover, If you have a lab environment then would be good to perform upgrade in LAB before rolling out in production environment.
regards,
Sheikh
