Failover not working

Just moved this from Routing to System Settings (oops) I have a 60C running 5.0.7. We have 2 WAN links (1 cable and 1 DSL) using Source IP load balancing to preserve sessions, and 5x5 Dead Gateway detection for failover. Ping target for both interfaces is the Gateway provided by ISPs. This morning I came in to a chorus of " we have no internet connection" . There was outbound traffic on the cable link, but no return traffic. Seems our cable modem needed a reset. I also checked the log and ping was lost 2 or 3 times during the night, and had not come up as of 8am when I rebooted the modem. What' s puzzling me is why the link didn' t fail over to the DSL. A few people who had been assigned to DSL from the beginning were fine, but the rest were dead in the water. Anything special I' m missing? And I' m really reluctant to upgrade to 5.2 and try the virtual WAN since our memory is already being slammed on a regular basis and I have to reboot to clear it every couple of weeks or so.
