Hello everyone,
I want to be able to redirect traffic from external users to FortiMail for access to their mail server. External users are those within the domain declared on FortiMail.
The server is published and external users must go through FortiMail to authenticate with the internal mail server on ports 587 and 993 before sending and retrieving emails.
How can I ensure this configuration?
Thank you in advance.

Hi
I always integrated FortiMail in gateway mode and handled only SMTP/SMTPS traffic (25/465). I always redirected SMTP Submission & IMAPS (587 & 993) from the firewall to the mail server directly, never to FortiMail.
So I think (and I might be wrong) SMTP Submission & IMAPS are redirected to FML only when it is in server mode.
Hope some community member more experienced in FML will correct me if I'm wrong.
