Hello everyone ,
Our client wants to acquire Fortigate in his infrastructure . He has one Datacenter where he wants to acquire 2 Fortigate Firewalls , and one center as campus where he wants to acquire 2 fortigate Firewalls as well .
FG-200G can meet the requirements presented in the RFP (throughput , max tunnels VPN IPSec , interfaces etc ...) but I don't know if this model is adapted in such environments as Datacenters .
Can anyone help me with some ideas if it would be the best choice and if this model can be adapted to Datacenter enviornments ?
Regards
Hi Imad
You need to starting by sizing, depending on your requirements (bandwidth, ports, features, ...). The you can use the below links to select the right FGT.

Hope it helps.
Hi,
Sizing need more questionare on prediction about how many user and how much percentage the user or traffic will increase every year or in ISP perspective usually 5 year (current throughput multiplied by year).
Product life cycle is needed for longer support periode in term of firmware support and RMA support.
Big enterprise datacenter series usually start in 1500-2000 series above if throughput total is in >3Gbps enterprise mix, if middle datacenter usually start at 500-1000 series.
It's my opinion, it could be overkill or maybe not.
Best regards.

I don't think anything above 1000x model has been announced for G-series yet. And when it's released, it would take a year or so to get the software merged to GA versions. So if the size needs to be beyond 900G and if the customer wants to have them now, they have to be F-series.

Forgot to mention. If they need to have multi-vdoms more than 10, they have to be 1000x or above.

Thanks @funkylicious. I didn't know the max number of VDOM has changed with 7.6.
