Hi everyone.
I am facing an issue with FGT 60E which I did not face earlier. After upgrading firmware to 7.4.2 I am not able to upgrade to 7.4.3 through Firmware & Registration -> File upload.
I am aware my license for license upgrade (automatic) has expired, but I would assume this should not affect manual firmware upgrades ?
Thank you,
Azur
Hello @Azur ,
if you don't have a subscription, you can't upgrade firmware on version 7.4.
You can get more information about this feature in this link.
Hi guys,
Another option would be to format the box and put on the newer FortiOS version via tftp.
I would recommend subscribing to the services though, there are other benefits that come with it.
Hope it was helpful, please like it.

Hi Azur,
As said by lunhas2k4, the subscription is the way to solve the issue. Make sure you do have support with Fortinet to avoid issues in case you need support.
Hi Azur,
You can refer to the official documentation below that highlights the reason in detail where it specifically says "If the contract is expired relative to the major firmware GA .0 version release date, the following upgrade attempt will be blocked in the GUI System > Firmware & Registration page.
If the contract expiry date is earlier than the release date for the GA .0 version of a higher major, minor, or patch version of firmware that is being uploaded, then the upgrade is denied and an error is displayed."
Thanks,
