Hi All
We recently found out a FGT 60C running an old firmware, 5.2.4. Am I correct to say that this hardware can't be upgrade to 5.6.3? As per the firmware upgrade patch page (https://support.fortinet.com/Download/FirmwareImages.aspx), the upgrade patch would be:
5.2.4 ==> 5.2.6 5.2.6 ==> 5.2.9 5.2.9 ==> 5.2.11 5.2.11 ==> 5.2.13
So is release 5.2.13 really the latest version that can be run on that box ?

Yup. First page of Release Notes for v5.4.0 GA, Supported models, no 60C.
Thanx !! I didn't even think to look at the release note :\ My bad! Anyhow, I guess I'll stick to the 5.2 branch for that unit. But look like the new firmware upgrade patch tool doesn't allow to select source firmware prior to 5.2.9. I can't confirm that upgrade path from 5.2.4 to 5.2.9. What I have I think it would be, 5.2.4 ==> 5.2.6 ==> 5.2.9. Then I could do the upgrade from 5.2.9 ==> 5.2.11 ==> 5.2.13?
Am I correct?
Each release notes would tell you what version you can upgrade it from. 5.2.13 says 5.2.11 is ok. then 5.2.11 says 5.2.9 or later. 5.2.9 says 5.2.6 or later. 5.2.6 says 5.0.11 or later. So 5.2.4->5.2.6->5.2.9->5.2.11->5.2.13 is fine.
Great thanx for information .. !
Hi there,
Yes, 5.2.13 is the last version to support 60C. Regarding the update, can you try it via webGUI or command line by typing "exe restore image tftp xxxx.out your-tftp-server"?
Thanks.
