FAZ1000F Not Loading

We are about to configure new #FAZ1000F but upon turning on the HW, there display only this

seems its not loading or image is corrupted?

Can you do a powercycle of the device while the console is connected and check if there are any additional logs?

It sounds like your FAZ1000F is encountering a boot issue, potentially due to a corrupted firmware image or hardware problem. Before do anything ensure you are using the correct firmware version for your specific model.

 

Here are the steps you can take to diagnose and resolve the issue:

 

1. Check the Hardware Connections
Power Supply: Ensure that the power supply is properly connected and the device is receiving adequate power.
Cables: Verify that all cables (power, network, and console) are securely connected. If possible, test with a different power supply or cables to rule out external hardware issues.

 

2. Connect to the Console Port
Use a console cable to connect your FAZ1000F to a computer.

 

3. Monitor the Boot Process
Turn on the FAZ1000F and observe the output on the terminal. Note any error messages or unusual behavior, and please share us with all output.

 

4. Firmware Recovery
If the boot process indicates a firmware issue, you may need to perform a firmware recovery. For that, you must interrupt boot process and upload new firmware via TFTP.

 

5. Contact Fortinet Support
If the problem persists after attempting the above steps, it may be necessary to contact Fortinet Support for further assistance. Provide them with details about the issue and any error messages you’ve observed.
