FAPU431F performance throughput

Dear All

My  FAPU431F wifi deplyoment only deliver 75 Mbps throughput (test with iperf3) while running in 5Ghz channel width 20 Mhz and 1 one channel (44 Mhz) from one client  connected (Windows 11  with notebook Intel i7) with 5 mtr distance for AP.

Is this the FAPU431  best performance ? or is there any way to improve it ?

Thanks

Hi,

To potentially improve the performance of your FAPU431F Wi-Fi deployment, consider the following steps:

  1. Channel Width Adjustment:

    • Increase the channel width to 40 MHz or 80 MHz for the 5 GHz band to allow for higher data rates. Be cautious of potential interference with wider channels.
  2. Frequency Handoff:

    • Enable frequency handoff to encourage dual-band devices to use the 5 GHz band, which typically offers better performance.
  3. AP Handoff:

    • Enable AP handoff to allow the wireless controller to signal clients to switch to another access point if available, optimizing load distribution.
  4. Client Load Balancing:

    • Ensure client load balancing is enabled to distribute clients evenly across available access points.
  5. Interference and Placement:

    • Check for potential sources of interference and ensure optimal placement of the access point to minimize obstructions and maximize coverage.
  6. Firmware Update:

    • Ensure that the FAPU431F is running the latest firmware version to benefit from performance improvements and bug fixes.
  7. Signal Strength and SNR:

    • Verify that the signal strength and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) are within optimal ranges for the best performance.

By implementing these adjustments, you may be able to achieve better throughput with your FAPU431F deployment.

Interesting. That’s exactly the same point that the other kind person replied with, that they have a G variant and thus put the back haul onto the 6Ghz band. That, in turn cleared up the 5Ghz radio for just data traffic.
