FAP-U & fortigate
Hi,
Universal AP are supposed to be manageable with fortigate.
I'm using fortios 5.4.4 and i'm not able to get it manage a FAP-U423EV.
Anyone succeeded ?

It will be supported in FortiOS 5.6 and onwards.

I've subscribed to the FortiOS 5.6.0 beta program and give a try to the beta3 OS.
my FAP-U423EV is then correctly discovered with an old fortigate 80C
unfortunately, my AP just crash (no more boot image, don't think it's related to OS 5.6), and there is still no firmware available for FortiAP-U series ...

how do i get this to connect to my FortiOS v6.4.6 build1879 (GA)? it has Meru code on it. trying to get it to update.

Factory reset the devices. Set your DHCP server to send option 138 with IP address and the Fortigate's connecting LAN interface where the APs will receive the DHCP address. They need to also receive the Wireless Controllers option, DHCP 138. And it has to be a local network (same subnet). Good luck. Mine just spun until I did the factory reset.
