Hi, I'd like to know what directional antennas are supported by FAP-432G-N.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Ok, in that case, you probably would have to get 2 of these antennas. You typically can use a 6 antenna panel on a 4 antenna AP and just leave two disconnected.
For the 432G according to the datasheet (https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/data-sheets/pdf/fortiap-series.pdf#page=4) there is: Dual Band Antenna (4); Tri Band Antenna (4);,
So in theory, that would work, but you will want to talk to an SE for sure to get exact specs on which antenna is which.
You will want to check with your SE or sales rep, they will have the most recent information. According to the datasheets, the FANT-04BEAX-0606-P-R looks to be the only antenna that is tri band support, but would require RPSMA to N adapter.
Thanks, but I would like to use this antenna because it has 9dB gain.
- FANT-06ACAX-8509-D-N* - 2.4/5GHz 8.5dBi/9dBi Wi-Fi patch high gain Antenna with 6 N-Style Connectors.
It has 6 N-connectors and FAP-432G has 8 N-connectors
Do you not plan on using the 6ghz in the FAP-432G?
No, not in this case
