With Peter's blessing, I have created an online version of his script. So far it only converts the policy list into a text format. More to come.

The script is more robust now. You can ALMOST rebuild a moderately sized firewall from the output and to the outside world it it far more readable.

Hi Guys,
I am using the script in https://www.brg.ch/dump-fortigate-config-into-csv/ Can anyone please advise the path I need to keep my config file in ?
I have specified the path but it is giving an error that i cannot read the file
fortigate-extract.pl --config <C:\Users\...........> --csv [--debug] cannot read : No such file or directory
Do not use the "<>" brackets.

I am in the Fortimanager > 5.6 > Policy Packages > (FW-01)
I can filter the policies same as in the FG FW but there is no option or button to tick or menu to select in order to export the policies to a csv or excel file.
Can you clarify the steps?
