Explicit proxy Slow performance

Hello, I' m currently testing explicit proxy feature on a Fortigate 200D (MR3P12). Webproxy is configured with NTLM authentication (+AV and URL filtering profile). With this configuration, Internet access seems to be very slow ! Every time I access a new site, it takes around 5 seconds before I can see the page. After, browsing to the web site is normal... If I try to access directly the web site, page is loaded is less than 1/2 seconds... How can I improve proxy performance ?? Regards, HA

Is it also slow, if you don' t use NTLM authentication? As every single web session will get authenticated I' d guess the problem is authentication.

Hello, It seems that Fortigate has something against Google ! I change the FGT DNS settings from Google (8.8.8.8) to my internal DNS server and now it works like a charm ! Thanks for your help. Regards, HA
