I have never tried this, but I have heard that putting a hub (or a switch) in between the TFTP server and the FGT may affect performance. I also heard that some servers are better than others. If you can, try a different TFTP product. Also try using a direct (cross) cable in between the FGT and the server. Good luck.

download the firmware again, sometimes i have had to download it three times to get it to work. try with a switch or hub in between the devices if you have not already. try it with a cross over cable only and setting the pc to a fixed duplex. lastly, try a different tftp program like tftpd32 for example. make sure you have the right firmware file for the box (ie make sure you have the FGT300A and not the FGT300, they are different. I have seen this error often, and for no reason, but keep trying and it will eventually work.

Odd I have a FTG-60 and am experiencing the same issue. I just posted a very similar result. I will try what others have suggested, but am not getting a warm fuzzy on this one. I didn' t realize I was wiping the system just thought it was reset to factory and now it is exhibiting the same behavior. If you have any luck please let me know. Thanks

Thanks SecureLayers-Eric I guess it was my tftp version because I switched to the one that you suggested and it worked without issues. Just for the record I didn' t use a X-Over cable or hardset the duplex on the network card. I did download the files again but this was my 3rd or forth time doing this. Thanks for the comments and I am up and running now on the 3.0 code.
